Company Catalogs – Control what normal users can see
The Catalogs feature allows companies to create and manage collections of products. Instead of browsing through the full marketplace, users and admins can structure products into catalogs for faster access, smoother navigation, and tailored shopping experiences.
Only admins have the ability to manage catalog assignments and browsing permissions. Regular users cannot create or manage catalogs; they can only browse products based on the catalogs assigned to them.
Managing and Creating Catalogs
From the side menu under Management, the system displays a dedicated section called Company Catalogs. Here, admins and authorized users see a full table of existing catalogs=
Catalog creation can happen in two ways:
From the Catalog List: The user clicks Create New Catalog, enters a name, and saves it. The new catalog is instantly added to the catalog list.
From a Product Page: Within the Add to Catalog dropdown, the user clicks Create New Catalog, enters the catalog name, and saves. Not only is the catalog created, but the product is automatically linked to it.
Adding Products to Catalogs
From the product details page, users can select Add to Catalog. The system retrieves catalogs and displays them in a list. After selecting a catalog, the product is saved into it.
How to Manage User Browsing Permissions
Go to the User List. Click View User Details for the selected user.
The system will display three sections:
User Info (Name, Email, Phone).
Browsing Management.
Browsing Management Options
Under Browsing Management, you can choose how the user browses products:
Marketplace Browsing: User can browse all products through categories and sections.
Catalog Browsing: User can browse only the catalogs you assign to them.
If you select Catalog Browsing:
You can assign one or more catalogs to the user.
After saving changes, the user will see only the assigned catalogs when browsing products.
Notes
Only admins can create and assign catalogs.
Users only browse the catalogs assigned to them; they cannot manage or edit catalogs.
Browsing Catalogs
Browsing behavior depends on company settings:
Case 1 – Marketplace Enabled: Users see standard categories and sections.
Case 2 – Catalog Browsing Enabled: categories and products appears based on selected catalogs on user.
